Business retention and Expansion (BRE) is the most important function of the Troy Development Council. We take great pride in the relationships we have with our local industry. The staff of the Troy Development Council is available 24/7 to assist our local businesses This is what we like to call, "service after the sale."
Needing workforce training assistance? We have strong partnerships with Edison State Community College, Upper Valley Career Center, Hobart Institute of Welding Technology and our local school system, Troy City Schools, to discuss potential training solutions.
Wondering if your expansion qualifies for incentives? The Troy Development Council staff can answer those questions with our vast number of relationships with the City of Troy, Dayton Development Coalition, JobsOhio and other regional economic development/workforce organizations.
Business Attraction
As "Request for Information" are recevied from JobsOhio or other sources, the Troy Development Council and the City of Troy complete in a timely manner. Troy, Ohio has numerous site of 40-acres or larger with heavy utilities, all approximately 1 mile from Interstate 75 and less than 10 miles from Interstate 70.
Eight international companies call Troy, Ohio, USA home. Several Japanese companies, mostly automotive related are located in Troy. Troy is also home to German, Swedish, and French companies. These companies work in a variety of sectors.
In alternating years, the Troy Development Council and the City of Troy visit Japan and Europe to sit down with company officials and offer our thanks, as well as, assistance, if needed in expansion, workforce and other issues.
