The Troy Area is very fortunate to have world-class companies who have chosen to locate and expand in the Troy area.

ConAgra Foods, Inc.

ConAgra Foods, Inc. is one of North America's leading food companies, with brands in 97 percent of America's households. Their product lines include Banquet, Chef Boyardee, Egg Beaters, Healthy Choice, Hebrew National, Hunt's, Marie Callender's, Orville Redenbacher's, PAM, Peter Pan, Reddi-wip, Slim Jim, Snack Pack and many other.

In June 2009, an explosion destroyed almost half of ConAgra's plant in Garner, North Carolina. Following the blast, production of Slim Jim snack food was transferred to the Troy facility. For ConAgra, it was essential that production be replaced as soon as possible. The Troy community was able to provide the workforce needed and the City of Troy provided water, road improvements and economic development incentives to meet the aggressive needs of this $64 million plant expansion.
